These strange things have an unknown background. In the same way, there were some of the science theories that define unbelievable stuff in it. Well, there is a massive variety of those theories, but the most strange or weird case was of the extrasensory perception. Most of you would be familiar with this word, but if you don’t have any knowledge about that, you are going to study it in details today. The whole body depends on the mind: the more powerful brain, the more active body. Extrasensory perception is also related to your mind, and it is also known as ESP.

What is ESP?

Have you ever felt that something that you have seen your dream is happening in real life? Do anyone has read your mind? Ever you thought that the same thing is happening you again and again? Well, this phenomenon is called extrasensory perception that when you get the awareness of anything in this world through a different mechanism other than the five senses.

ESP is also known as the sixth sense that is totally different from the rest of five senses. If we compare this theory with the real world, you can get many benefits through it. Like if you are a gambler than getting a vision of the bets can make you a millionaire. Due to ESP would also become the expert of blackjack. Want to play blackjack right now? History of ESP

The history of ESP starts from the 1930s. J.B Rhine and his wife Louisa E. Rhine began to investigation on ESP at Duke University that was situated in North Carolina. After observing multiple cases related to this matter, they both started researching on it and also developed a set of cards. These cards were commonly known as Zener cards that contain different shapes on them like a cross, star, wavy line, and circle. Basically, the main procedure to use these cards were that a sender looks at the series of cards and the receiver has to guess the shape. After making a guess a dice was used to test the psychokinesis.

Multiple experiments were made after the Zener card experiment to make further research on ESP. According to Wikipedia, many scientists proved J.B Rhine’s theory wrong in various ways. Later, many psychologists were introduced to the world; those also tried to prove the existence of ESP, but they are not succeeded.

Does ESP exist?

Till now you have read about the history of extrasensory perception, now the main question that comes in our mind is that do ESP exists? Keeping all the researches and experiments in view, it is still not proved yet that ESP really exists. The answer is simply no, as the science only believes in observations and experimentations, so there not a single piece of proof that explains the existence of ESP.

Types of ESP

There were multiple types of ESP in the past, but after a lot of researching, scientists decided to work on the some of the major branches of ESP. According to, four main types of ESP were studied in details, and they are as following:

  • Clairvoyance.
  • Psychokinesis.
  • Precognition.
  • Telepathy.

The sixth sense is called ESP. It is one of the leading theory that was well researched by scientists in the past, but its existence was not proved. Many people tried to bring ESP into existence. Unfortunately, they failed. There are many types of ESP, but there four major branches that were studied and discussed in detail. Mind reading is also one of them. Science is still working on this matter, and we hope that will get proper knowledge about it in future through medical science books.
