Port Rashid is regarded as the first modern port in Dubai and played a critical role in transforming the city to what it is today. Its strategic location made it an important port of call between the East, West and South. The port is a custodian of Dubai’s coastal heritage. Now, Emaar Properties in collaboration with P&O Marinas, are developing a billion dirham project that will significantly transform the port area.
It is only fifteen minutes from the Dubai International Airport and only twenty minutes for the popular neighbourhood such as Downtown Dubai and Dubai Creek Harbour. This project will elevate the status of the city as a top tourist destination.
The project also consists of a brand new mall which will feature an elite waterfront shopping destination, pristine sandy beaches of over 12,600 square meters and the largest swimming pool in Dubai. There will also be a variety of dining and entertainment options, such as a floating yacht.
Mina Rashid Emaar will be a new address to the international yachting community with over 430 wet berths, some of which will accommodate even large yachts. This will catalyse cruise tourism and promote Dubai as a yachting destination.
One of the most prominent features of the development will be the Queen Elizabeth II ocean liner. It was a famous liner that existed from the sixties and sailed over five million miles carrying over two million passengers. The liner will be docked permanently at Mina Rashid and will act as a 13-deck hotel for dining, entertainment and events.
The developer is offering an opportunity for investors to become part of the Mina Rashid development with the launch of Sirdhana. This will be a limited collection of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom waterfront apartments and townhouses. It is named after a British Royal Ship, the first commercial ship to dock at the port. The Sirdhana development will join other Emaar off-plan projects in Dubai.
Strategically located at the main entrance of the promenade, Sirdhana will be adjacent to the canal pool. It will also be just a walking distance to the beach, Queen Elizabeth II, the community park and the Dubai Mall by the Sea.
