The Myers-Briggs personality test seeks to determine which type of person you are. Here a review of the three least common personalities for those of you who are just that little bit different.
Asides from their use to generate leads for E-commerce sites, a few personality tests are widely recognized as accurate within the scientific community. Although no person can truly ever be wholly categorized in the ways which a personality quiz seeks to define, the Myers-Briggs personality types are as close as you can get.
What is the Myers-Briggs Personality Test?
The Myers-Briggs personality test is a series of questions which are designed to accurately categorize what type of person you are. Over the years, scientists have revised and improved the accuracy of the questions to generate improved results.
The Myers-Briggs personality test seeks to assign each person into one of 16 categories. These categories are marked by a four-letter ID. The letters represent titles of other definitions, such as E = extravert, I = introvert, and so on. Types include:
- ISTJ types who are practical and follow the rules.
- ISTP types who like to create things.
- ISFJ types who want to protect everyone.
- ISFP types who are artistic in nature.
- INFJ types who advocate for others.
- INFP types who mediate arguments.
- INTJ types who focus on logic.
- INTP types who think before they act.
- ESTP types who can persuade anyone of anything.
- ESTJ types who like to manage others.
- ESFP types who are outgoing.
- ESFJ types who care for everyone.
- ENFP types who like to win.
- ENFJ types who would give you their last meal.
- ENTP types who will fight you.
- And ENTJ types who like to be in control.
What Are The Rarest Types of Myers-Briggs Personality?
The three rarest types of Myers-Briggs personality are as follows.
1 – INFJ Types (introverted, intuitive, feeling and judging)
Less than 1% of those who take the test are INFJ types. The INFJ type gets nicknamed “the counsellor” or “the advocate” because this is how they operate. They hear others’ problem and decide to help fix those issues – even if those issues are global ones. Introverts at heart, the INFJ personality has a desire to be a positive force in the world. Although rare, they are highly empathetic, sensitive to others plights, and ready to jump into action to defend the needy.
2 – INTJ (introverted, intuitive, thinking and judging)
With slightly less self-sabotage than the INFJ, the INTJ personality type comes a close second on the rareness scale. Like their brethren, the INTJ type will think first, before they let their hearts drag them into battle. They are thinkers nicknamed “the architects” or “the masterminds”. These represent around 2% of the population. They excel in science, mathematics, and any logical subjects.
3 – ENFJ (extraverted, intuitive, feeling and judging)
ENFJ personality types are the third least common personality types. Known as “the teachers” or “the protagonists,” an ENFJ is a strong natural-born leader. About 3% of the population are both extroverted and intuitive, and genuinely care for the people that they lead. They build meaningful relationships easily and rarely lose friends.
