What does it mean to spend your holiday in a rental property on La Palma? In your own eight-room villa, three and a half meter high ceilings and views of the Burj Al Arab, which stretches to the left on the horizon.
It’s the same as always when you’re vacationing in a rental home, especially if you’ve just arrived by plane. First you need to head to the supermarket for hummus, flatbreads, non-alcoholic beer, sparkling apple juice, fresh dates, honey from the Hajar Mountains and local grilled fish, this time Hammura.
Butler, Сhef or Driver
Palm Jumeirah, also known as “The Palm”, is an artificial island off the coast of Dubai, created in the shape of a palm tree. It covers an area of 560 hectares and consists of three parts: a palm trunk, 17 leaves and an outer crescent. The island is connected to the mainland by a 300-meter bridge.
In 2008, a huge landfill appeared on the Palm in Dubai Creek. The trunk is four kilometers long and 600 meters wide with 16 branches accessible from the roads along which the villas are located. This project extended Dubai’s coastline by approximately 100 kilometers, which attracted investor interest as waterfront properties began to cost significantly more than on land.
This also applies to vacation rentals. Around 50 villas on Palma are offered for sale through various channels, including home rental platforms as well as specialist agencies. Rates start at $1,000 per night for a three-bedroom villa and around $1,300 for a ten-bed villa. During the summer months there is a decrease in demand due to hot and humid weather. During the winter months, especially before the New Year, prices can be significantly higher.
Holiday houses in Dubai aren’t just limited to The Palm. Even in remote areas of the country there are houses offered for rent on a daily or weekly basis – almost always at a lower price than on Palma. Vacation rental options are also becoming more accessible.
Wedel E
You have the special privilege of being in a Wedel E house on Palma, even if it’s just for a few days. Here, apparently, only couriers come from the nearest Indian pizzeria, serving numerous customers on the street. Upon approaching the barrier at the entrance, it opens without the need for introduction. Couriers have become an integral part of this place, albeit with a special division of duties.
The owners and residents of the villas seem to depend on them. From the delivery time, we can draw conclusions about the nationality of the clients: foreigners living here, like most villa guests, order delivery according to the European time of the day or evening. On the other hand, Arabs prefer to order late in the evening and during the day.
